Hi.
Diagnosed T2 3 months ago. Like beer especially Tennents Lager. There are 132 calories and 13g of carbs in a normal 440ml can. Also 4% ABV. Tennents have launched a Tennents Light which is 3.5% ABV. Also there are 63 cals and 0.7g of carbs in a 330ml can. So there is proportionally about 1g of carbs in the light as opposed to 13g in the normal Tennents. Also just under 100 cals proportionally against 132 in normal.
For diabetics that like beer this is a massive game changer. The light has about 8% of carbs of a normal can. With a slight reduction in ABV this is a brilliant alternative to normal lager.
Why do the breweries not get this out to the public that they can reduce carb intake?
