Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi
Can anybody out there tell me the recommended daily carb intake. I am a newly diagnosed type 2. I know about fats etc, just wanted to check daily carbs intake please?

There are many thoughts on this.
Do you know what your BG is, or your hba1c, do you need to lose weight, or anything else about you that can help us answer you personally?

Your earlier posts say you were diagnosed in 2015 @suepledger How have you been doing since then? Do you know your latest HbA1C? Are you on any diabetes medication? What have you been eating since that diagnosis and how has it been working for you?

The recommended daily carb intake is the amount you can cope with, from foods which don't cause spikes.
I used a glucose meter and discovered that I digest beans and peas better than most, so the effect is around 180 percent of the expected rise, which is why we need to test and check for ourselves as there aren't really any hard and fast rules.
