If you were having spaghetti bolognese when eating out
which picture would you go for in the carbs and cals book

I’d go for whichever looked most like the portion I ate

Thanks @Lucyr but if that guess was totally wrong and you're meal was around 8pm in the evening what would you do if your next test was bedtime and your level was high but you don't like to correct at bedtime before going to sleep?

I’d correct and set an alarm to get up and check

How long after you've corrected would you set the alarm for?

I don’t have set rules, it would depend what time I ate, how much I corrected, how confident I was, whether I’d had alcohol with the meal etc. But it would be after the insulin taken with my meal was finished and when the correction before bed was still working, so probably a couple hours after I went to bed.

Portions are very tricky as everybody has a different view of what a portion is. I have just got a beetroot fusilli dried pasta which says 2 portions and is a 250g packet (25g carb/100g), I just cooked 60g to be shared between 2 people and that was perfectly sufficient. No wonder people have too much.
