In need of carbs and cal book I'm on amazon which best to buy for my carb counting

carbs and cals book by chello is a popular choice. i use it. alos, they have a smart phone app so you can work things out on the go using your phone.

As the cauli muncher say's carbs and cals, the app would be better if you go out for dinner as its there when you need it.

🙂

maybe I should change my user ID Megga??? :D

I have the book for at home and then got the app on my phone for when I'm out - it's great to see portion sizes rather than not having a clue how much 100g of something is 😉 xx

Snap Vix - what I do too. Useful as I was having a jacket potato from the work canteen today (somehow i don't think 'hi, do you have scales with that' would have gone down well....!)

How are you getting on with the book Oliver?

Yeah very we'll I like the book very interesting and lot easier then reading packets lol

one thing i would say is be careful when to use the book v packet data. some of the data in the book is very generic (eg a plate of oven chips: you might find that the specific chips you're cooking have more or less CHO than the 'average' numbers given in the book)
