Hi looking for ideas for carb free breakfast lunches and evening meals so I can check my basal rate as my bloods are all over the place.
Thanks

How about 2 grilled large mushrooms with 2 slices of grilled bacon on top, very nice lunchtime snack, ive put grated cheese on in the past but thats optional.

Sounds lovely - but I'd be wary of having it when trying to do a basal test - I've always found that meat (bacon/sausages in particular, I'm guessing its the fat but I dont know) increase my insulin resistance short term, so might skew the results.
How about doing a mushroom salad - bit of cucumber, leaf of lettuce, couple of finely sliced mushrooms - makes you think you've had a meal, but doesnt (for me) seem to have any effect on blood sugar.
