I just wanted to pop in and tell you how much I am enjoying my carb counting course. I have been diabetic for 52 years and thought that there wasn't much I didn't know about living with this disease but I have learnt loads. I heard from one of the nurses that a lot of long term diabetics aren't taking the chance to go on the course. Please, it is fantastic, go if you are asked or ask about it if you haven't been. You do learn more than the carb counting itself and it is a chance to meet other diabetics. I have learnt that I am not on my own and the problems that I face on a daily basis are the same as everyone else. Thanks x

That's brilliant to hear and am waiting to do one as not many round where I live. I have only been diagnosed less than two years and there is so much I need to learn. Was your course the five day one?
How are you and your daughter doing? I imagine you were an expert when your daughter was diagnosed though must have still been a shock for you.
