Hi there I have just been dignosed type 2 diabetes do I need to contact car insurance company? Also I was given blood pressure pills, I was given Metformin and have to change my lifestyle, I wasn't given anything to check my blood sugars ans was wondering should I have been given something to check my blood?

Anything that is notifyable to the DVLA is notifyable to your insurance company. If you have any other worries it is best to inform your insurance company rather than find yourself uninsured!
