Hello!
Can anyone recommend a good car insurance company for people with T1D? I don't want to get ripped off!

Thank you 🙂

Car insurance companies aren’t allowed to discriminate against people with Diabetes. If you go on a price comparison website, they don’t even ask you to declare it. You need to tell the company you decide to go with that you have Type 1 (mine weren’t particularly interested when I told them, but I'd fulfilled my obligation) , but if at that point the price goes up, they are breaking the law. So report them and pick another company.

Oh! I really thought that it had to be more expensive for T1D due to the increased risk of accidents!

Bearing in mind there are strict rules for testing your blood sugar and having good hypo awareness, we shouldn’t really be at any increased risk of accidents.
