Yes, a truly amazing and inspirational guy to watch.

Fine man, and it is a vast amount of money. But since 2010, NHS funding has reduced by £7m every single day.

That’s about £1m short of each of the 35 F35 planes we’ve ordered from the US to fill our aircraft carriers. Presumably to defend us against pandemics.

I’ve signed the petition to get Tom knighted.

He's already been given the freedom of Keighley, although that's not something to brag about

Great man and well done, but I'm a bit with MikeyB. I'd much rather our politicians were ashamed that a 99 year old has done more for the NHS than they have done over the last how many years rather than to try and get some kudos by piggybacking on his determination.

Well done Captain Tom the nation is behind you, hopefully it will be SIR CAPTAIN TOM.

Plus we've both loved what he's been saying on camera - the clouds will pass and the sun will shine again. However we heard a snippet of the single on TV last night and I did have to comment that I did wish he'd stuck to short motivational speeches - cos he's bloody good at those!

I think with or without the official honour - everyone already thinks of him as Sir Tom. Wish he was my other Dad.
