My ratios during the day were great during the DAFNe course but for the last 24 hours my bgs won't go down! Had 30cho yesterday lunch when my BG was 7.5 . Had 3 units humalog. By 4pm it was 14.5 so had another 3 units. Had pie for tea but by 9pm it wasnt 18.5. Did my usual corrections during the night. Woke up at 10 so had 1 unit and walked Susie but didn't eat anything. The BG stayed at 9.9. Had 30CHO at lunch and 3 units of Humalog. Now at 3pm it has gone up to 17.5😱

I can't understand what is happening because yesterday 1 unit of humalog brought it down from 10 to 5.2 so everything was ok then. The high BGS are making me feel rough

:( Do you think you might be coming down with a bug? Take care of yourself & watch out for insulin stacks...hope you're feeling better soon! Xx

Urrgghh Amanda - sounds like you could be in for something doesn't it?

Unless of course, your insulin has gorn orf? - Try a different cartridge at least?

I hope you are feeling better. There are lots of coughs cold and sniffles doing the rounds, so you may be due something. Keep warm, keep well.

Thank you Twitchy, Trophywench and Caroline. I've also spent a total of four hours sleeping this afternoon and feel clammy so guess it is a bug. I've just changed my Levemir insulin in case there is a problem with that and increased my dose for tonight. I had naively thought that stopping work would mean that I didn't feel ill🙄

Hah - sometimes it's kind-of the stress that keeps you going, Amanda.

Take away the stress and all the bugs that you just didn't have time for before, land!
