I am exhausted
Dad is in a nursing home for respite cae - while the council fit a new kitchen
and a new bathroom/wet room.
I am spending time visiting him at the home and a lot of time at his house trying to keep on top of the work being done.
The kitchen should be finished tomorrow, so I will have a lot to put back into the new cupboards, and try to thin out VERY old items. Currently, there are around 10 cardboard cartons in the middle of the living room, fully of crockery, cutlery, tins and Goodness knows what.
The bathroom/wetroom, looks really cool, and when the flooring FINALLY goes down it will really look magic - the only problem. they took out the grab rails and have lost them, so they must be replaced as Dad is still recovering from his stroke.
He has no conception as to the work that I have done. The work done is of a good standard - but their housekeeping in awful - there is dust and rubbish everywhere,it will take a LONG time to clear it all. All being well the
workmen will have finished on Friday - I go to the York meet on Saturday,
work like a made thing on Sunday and get Dad back home on Monday morning in time to meet his army of carers.
Phew! During all this time my diabetic regime has gone to blazes, numbers are poor - need to get the finger out. Looking forward to the York meet , will problem catch zzzzzzzzzzs on the journey down.
Thanks for listening
