Interesting article from diaTribe

Another possible reason why my insulin requirements seem to go up and down like a yo-yo! I'm always on the go, doing too much, on call at nights and often sleep deprived...

Any thoughts/comments?

Not sure that it applies to me. I tend to get around 4-5 hours sleep a night and my levels are generally very good (I am a weird diabetic though!). If I get periods of broken sleep though then my control can suffer a little, but usually because I am less inclined to do other things that might be helping, like maybe regular exercise. Maybe if you are messing up your cortisol cycle with irregular hours then that will have an impact because it will affect how your liver releases glucose which might mess up basals and ratios?

Suppose being tired makes you stressed which releases adrenaline which in turn pushes up blood glucose, can get by on 6 hours a night but any less and it effects my diabetes.
