Hi

I have 2 pieces of kit which I can use to cook almost anything when out and about

1
A Kelly (or volcano or gilliy) Kettle, I can boil 2 1/2 pints of water in about 3 minutes, the kids will love poking extra wood in the top, I have had massive flames coming out of mine when I left it for a moment - no water to speak of left
2
A COBB cooker (optional extra wok and griddle) Lakeland now sell them they are not cheep, but it will cook a roast dinner on 9 charcoal briquettes in about 2 hours as I paddle along in my canoe,

Hairy Bikers in Ireland

Hi

I have just been watching hairy bikes they are cooking on a COBB cooker

I completely misinterpreted the meaning of "Camp" cooking at first - sorry, it's Friday, in one of those moods

Mind pictures of fairies prancing around a stove .....

I cannot tell a lie, that was my first thought too, perhaps the two cooks off Ready Steady Cook, Richard Cawley and Patrick Anthony?

Camp cooking!!

That version never occured to me at all!! however - my wife said I should have thought of it!

Ha,

Bringing it back to the meaning in hand though......what kind of prices are we talking about here?

Kelly and Cobb prices

The Kelly kettle I know severl shops which keep them.
there is outdoor and active in weston super mare - Taunton leisure in taunton - white and bishop in northampton trekkit hereford -- but there are also loads on line -- a 1 pint is about 40 a 2 & 1/2 pint is about 55 and the bigger one in stainlrss steel is about 65

Cobb I would check on line I think that my wife paid about 90 for the kit as far as i know she has used the griddle a few times and the wok a bit but in the main uses the plate it comes with to the point where i wonder how much the griddle and wok were worth it
