Have recently had a C-Peptide test on request from my consultant, and after getting the results my DSN is now suggesting I'm a LADA.
However, when I questioned the results it all got a bit hazy and TBH I'm not sure what the results mean.
As I understand them (given to me over the phone) the results were as follows: (I had two tests done BTW as they managed to lose the first set, then found them again)...
Result 1:
Creatinine 8.9 mmol/litre
C Peptide 46.9 (no units of measure)
Ratio 5.27
Result 2:
No Creatinine measure
C Peptide 32.01 (no unit of measure)
Ratio 2.62
Now I can Google as well as the next person but these results just don't seem to tie up with anything I can find and I'm not due to see the Consultant until May.
I guess it means I am still producing insulin but nowhere can I find anything that equates to these results.
From my maths A level I know a ratio doesn't have a unit associated with it - it's simply a division of two other values... and nowhere can I find the C-Peptide measure that is remotely similar to these figures.
Can anyone shed any light on these? Thanks in advance.

PS Does this may explain why my BG results are pretty stable & my rapid ratio is only 1:20...?
