I've been on here before moaning about Cauli Rice & how i can't get into it at all but i noticed the other day at my local Sainsburys they were doing Broccoli Rice which sounds a whole lot better, i love Broccoli. Has anyone tried it and how would you cook it? Ta all!

I did love cauli rice mashed with single cream, but I've gone off it. The last batch was very strong tasting. Maybe it depends on the cauli! Don't fancy broccoli rice at all. 🙂

I've seen recipes where the raw broccoli is chopped up very finely, then panfried for 5 minutes in oil. Lemon juice or zest added as liked. Also seen broccoli and cauli mixed as 'rice' which might be a better way of getting cauli inside you and would look nice too. Suppose you could microwave instead of panfrying. I am thinking of trying broccoli rice too.

Edit: i said chopped up finely, but many recipes just say to blitz in a food processor.

We have had that a few times from the ASDA. If you find one in a bag look for microwave instructions. The one we had was microwave in the bag a few minutes, then just pour it onto the plates. How easy is that!
