Well, the time is almost upon me! Trying to make sure that I've got everything prepared and had a full 'dress rehearsal' today to iron out a few niggles with the costume (no, that doesn't mean I went out and ran 13.1 miles in it!)

If anyone is coming to either event, here are the details:

Bristol, Saturday 10th March

Venue: V-Shed, from 12pm http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/v-shed
The Waterfront
Canons Road
Bristol
City of Bristol
BS1 5UH

Attending:
Me, Medusa, ukjohn, katie and possibly EDUAD (Mike)

Bath, Sunday 11th March

If anyone would like to come and support me or join me in a celebratory drink afterwards (or both, of course!) then I intend to make my way to The
King of Wessex Wetherspoons pub at around 2-2:30pm, depending on my finish time. Please let me know if you'd like to meet me there before Friday evening or I won't know otherwise! 🙂 If anyone would like to meet me before the race, please let me know.

Full details of the Bath Half can be found here:

I think that's it! It would be great if anyone who lives in the area can come along and give me a cheer as I glide by in my gossamer wings! And so you all know who to look out for...

Don't forget, it's not too late to donate, and I know DWED would really appreciate every penny! :D

Looking pretty good for me to meet you there. Trust you will be in full costume so you are easy to spot Alan?

Unfortunately, it's against Race rules Mike...😉 I'll try and sit near the door with a copy of Balance on the table 🙂 Would you like my mobile number?

If I can't spot you I'll just walk around swinging my pump above my head :D

If he's dressed like that on Saturday, I'll be on the next table 😎

Looking forward to it, will be a new experience for me visiting Bristol :D

From what I can see John, it's quite a hike from Temple Meads to the V-Shed. Google says it's 0.8 miles, but my experience of Google is that it always underestimates by quite a margin over smaller distances.

I wish I could be there. My car won't be repaired until after the weekend..

Have a great time everybody.

I would guess it would take 15-20 mins at a brisk walk. You could turn right out of the main entrance to the station, then up to the roundabout and follow the river (the New Cut) along to Prince St. There might be a quicker route cutting through Redcliffe too.

Good luck! I will be there in spirit and look forward to hearing all about it on the boards :D Go Alan Go

Hope you are a good runner Northy ! You will have all the fellas after you 🙄 Realy hope everything goes well ! I worked in bath for 9 months a lovelly place. Good luck for RUN 😎

Cheers Hobie! 🙂

LOL Northie, you look "gorgeous" 😛

Good luck with your run 🙂

Well done for getting dressed up "Northy" ! You are a good sport ! & for a good cause ! 😎😎😎

I haven't been able to go out for any length of time for a while now but if I lived in Bath there is one event I would make a special effort to attend 🙂 I really would love to be there to watch Northener dressed for the occasion. All the very best we know you will run well despite your dress 😉
