I only became aware of this due to the recent press headlines over the last week, and never gave it a second thought before. I’m 57 and realised I have never received a letter offering me an appointment for screening in the last 7 years. I now understand that you should be offered an appointment every 3 years. Have you all had your appointments or somehow been missed like me?

I've certainly had them since I turned 50, (I'm 62 now.) I get a letter every three years inviting me to make an appointment when the screening unit comes round to our Doctors' surgery.

I am 55, I had had two by the time I was 54. Please chase this up with your doctor.

I had screening this year (63)

I've had 2 screenings but they were due to issues so that's the reason for me. (43 and 45)

I started having them when I was 40 since I worked for a company with an arrangement with Nuffield for all staff to have complete health checks once they attained that age, every 5 years. Then once I was 50 the NHS took over and it's been every 3 years - but only the mammogram bit - since. Our area was also in the tri-ennial bowel cancer screening from age 50, so we've both been doing that for nearly 20 years too.

Neither has ever been done 'via' the GP surgery, it has always been a centralised service both when I lived in Kidderminster and since I moved to Coventry, and the screening has been done previously in a mobile unit but now it's moved indoors to the 'City of Cov' health centre.

I’ve had 2 since I turned 50. Find out where the nearest local mobile screening is then just phone them. My friend did this without a referral. X

My letter comes via central office for check at clinic every three years. I was on annual checks until I was 50, as had breast cancer at 39, but then when I hit moved from specialist unit to central office. You should contact your GP surgery and they should chase it for you.
