Hey just looking for suggestions I usually have 2 toasted waffles and peanut butter for breakfast but getting rather bored of it, I don't have time to cook anything so that's out the window, I've had a look and have found crumpet thins I could give a go x

Steak & eggs, with mushrooms & tomatoes! mmmm I'm sorry you don't have time to cook.
a little yoghurt with fruit.
Hard boiled egg on an oat cake. I have that sometimes, and smash the egg with some mayonnaise and sprinkle some paprika on the top. Hor d'oeuvres!

Last night's left overs
Beat an egg with a fork (15 seconds) then microwave for 30 seconds - scrambled egg
If you put a little prep in over the weekend, you can make your own carb-free granola and have it with milk or yoghurt.
You can make a proper omelette in half the time it takes to toast a waffle

Id like to see your omelette cooked in 30 seconds haha sorry had to be said x

I was thinking about giving a fruit loaf a go but not sure x

Kaylz you seem to like sweetie type tastes on a morning. If you're in a rush and no time to cook, you could sometimes have a NatureValley Protein bar. They're really delicious, (peanut and chocolate or salted caramel which are my favourite) a bit high in calories but you don't seem to need to lose weight but only 9.6g carb each. Very filling too with a cuppa.

Pre-cooked herring or kippers heated in a microwave. Takes about a minute.

Omelette in 30 seconds is easy.

Big frying pan, glug of oil.
Whisk up a couple of eggs
Pour into the really hot frying pan
Pull the edge of the omelette away from the edge with a spoon, then tilt the pan so the uncooked goo rushes down to that end. It then cooks instantly
Repeat as necessary
You can do it in 30 seconds - a minute's worth of cooking time and the job is definitely done.

Deus speaks the truth, a huge pan, hot as it can be and the egg mix spread very thinly makes for super quick omelette, I'm a big omelette fan for my evening meal, and they make very good alternatives to wraps if you add a wee bit of cheese in there to aid structural integrity. I have issues with eggs in the morning though which I've now concluded must be psychological either that or I've an awkward stomach (entirely possible given my brain is quite awkward too 🙂) so I tend towards porridge if I want the carb, Greek yoghurt with a bit of honey if I don't want as much carb, avocado on toast, nut butter and celery sticks, or hummus and celery. I have odd tastes I'm told however, so you may not find stuff you want in that list 🙂. A friend of mine eats leftovers for brekkie, so whatever she had for her evening meal the night before. I've got a cast iron stomach generally but leftover curry makes me feel a bit green around the gills 😱

Surely it would take 30 seconds to break the eggs and whisk them and heat up the pan though!

This all sounds like the omlette challenge on Saturday Kitchen.:D

I think I've seen that. I guess if you like your omelette runny it could work, and of course if you have a team of people to clean up after you! 🙂

Yummy but it would leave me hungry later due to the lack of protein. Now if you add some cheese to that...

Do you not have a team of egg crackers then Radders 😉?
My omelette takes about 5 minutes end to end and no goo for me, the huge pan is the key so it's more like crepe consistency. I'm starting to sound a little OCD now....😳

Ah, but you can stick the pan on the heat and go do other things for a minute, so it doesn't take up any actual time. Whisking, up to you really how long you want to take. The point is that cooking an omelette is not a huge time consumer. Genuinely I think most people take longer to log in to this site and post something.

If you're really switched on, why not even crack and whisk the eggs in a bowl the night before?

For anyone who says 'I don't have time in the mornings', what you're really saying is 'I don't prepare for my mornings'.

Coffee pot on the timer, breakfast cereal made over the weekend ready, omelette already whisked. Do things like that and you'd be amazed at how much time you actually have in the morning to have a proper breakfast and coffee before going to work.*

*you may be able to tell I do not have children, who I assume will obviously ruin your morning timings no matter how well prepared you may be!

See I was thinking could always just have some nuts on standby should that happen x
