About 200 people attended a fundraising afternoon organised by a seven-year-old boy.
Benjamin Clapp, from Curry Rivel, in Somerset, arranged the family fun day to support Diabetes UK's search for a cure for the condition.
His event included refreshments, a craft sale, tombola, raffle and cake sale. It has already raised more than ?1,300.
Benjamin was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes shortly before his third birthday. He showed typical symptoms of the condition including being very thirsty and frequently using the toilet. Other symptoms include being very tired and quickly losing weight.
