Hi Everyone,
I recently came off my diabetes medications and now managing things with diet and exercise only. Since this change, I have been struggling with brain fogginess. I experienced this symptom in the past when I was coming off insulin which lasted up to a week before things settled back to normal. I am in my fourth week now and fogginess is still ongoing. The puzzling thing is that my glucose levels in those instances have been in acceptable ranges.

Just want to find out if anyone currently managing their diabetes with diet and exercise has had a similar situation and how have they managed things?

Thanks
Agnes

Hi @Agnes Adjei Welcome to the forum. Well done on coming off your diabetes meds, you’ve obviously worked very hard at gaining control
Sorry I can’t help but others here may well be able to.
When you say your glucose levels were in acceptable ranges, what are they or as you are now Diet and exersize controlled are you still able to test

Hi@Ljc,
Thanks for your comments. My glucose levels are between 4.1-5.8mmol/L in the mornings (fasting) and
6-7.9mmol/L 2
-3hrs after meals. I am testing myself more frequently to get a handling of the effects of food choices and portions on my glucose levels.

Do you take any other medication Agnes?

Well - I think you'd better consult your doctor then, don't you?
