hi everyone im not getting great readings on my bp for a week now ..143/97 i know is not good and im reading its more than likely hypertention...am i going to hear bad news of the doctor today !!!

hi burnsyboy
are you getting stressed out about it before you take your BP?, are you taking your BP at different times of the day?
When I test my BP at home (first thing in the morning) its always fine ie around 70 over 115-120, but whenever I go to the Dr I always get nervous / anxious that it will be high...and thats *exactly* what happens!!!
I know its easy for me to say, but try to relax, dont think too much about it and then try taking it.
good luck!

Might be worth taking your meter along to the GPs and see how it compares there. A pulse of 110 is pretty high by anyone's standards, especially when you've been sleeping, although perhaps you were woken by a nightmare?

Has he put you in be tablets yet? Diabetes meds, bp meds and statins seem to go hand in hand.... Trying to stay off the statins at the mo
