Here is a link to the 60 page Boris Johnson Coronavirus document that was released at 2pm today.

At the very end there is Appendix B which refers to vulnerable groups including those who are shielding.

Diabetes is in the clinically vulnerable group and in summary Appendix B states Clinically vulnerable includes those with diabetes. Stay at home as much as possible. If you do go out take particular care to minimise contact with others outside your household. Then it list organisations that can help the clinically vulnerable.

Which is exactly what has been said for weeks so no change in that dept., My DSN has type1 diabetes and is still working as are the HCP's with type1 at my GP surgery.
 
This has been the same now for weeks, there isn't any need for us to shield but so social distance as much as we can.
 
The guidance hasn’t changed for diabetics, but that wasn’t clear in last night’s statement when there were some other changes.
it is obviously an individual choice what anyone decides to do, but it’s always helpful to have the most up-to-date guidance hence why I posted this.
