Hi @ColinUK
I have put a tick in the box that was missing one and you should now be able to PM to your hearts desire. If that hasn't worked let me know.
I was going to DM you but then remembered we are already in conversation!!

But I’m pleased to say that there’s now an option to.....

Morning all - books 2 and 3 are still up for grabs. :D

Thanks @LucyDUK for your help.

Guess what arrived today?! Thank you!!

Nos 2 & 3 are still without a good home to go to. 😛

Both 2 and 3 were expensive books and 2 was always called 'the pumpers bible' - however I have to say these days there are more modern resources than the books we used to rely on - because they were our only resources. My Biology textbook for O Level GCE (it didn't have the 'S' in those days) started with Chapter 1 - The Earthworm and the first sentence was 'The earthworm is a cosmopolitan.' So there I was aged 14, diving in the family's heavy navy blue morocco bound dictionary to glean the true definition of the word 'cosmopolitan' ! And that is part of the trouble with books, isn't it.

Still nowt to beat a good book, some of em are really good old friends eg Narnia, the Discworld and more recently Harry Potter - and of course the dictionaries in various languages - but HP has grown up and moved on, too.

Afternoon ev1. 🙂 I’m having a clearout and have three books on diabetes looking for a good home. They are:

1. The 7 step diabetes fitness plan by Sheri Colberg.
This book’d suit a T2 diabetic - it focuses on making long-lasting changes, rather than just dieting, and includes some excellent advice on healthy eating and exercising whatever your size and physical ability.

2. Using Insulin by John Walsh et al.
This is for anyone on insulin and is very comprehensive.

3. Think Like a Pancreas by Gary Scheiner (2nd edition).
Another great book for anyone taking insulin. Written with a sense of humour.

Let me know if you’re interested in one of these books and I can send it to you. :D

Is book 3 still available, I've only just seen this thread and think I would enjoy that book.
Adam.

Aw, sorry @brisr949. Should’ve updated the thread - all 4 books have gone already.

No problem, glad they all ended up in good homes.
