I have bought a book from Diabetes UK called Carbs and Cals it is mainly pictures of popular foods and gives you the number of Carbs and Cals in each portion, I have also downloaded the full version onto my iphone and fill that in daily, there are some restrictions you cannot add anything else other than what is in their program would love to be able to add foods by looking at packaging. I have found it helpful in controlling what I eat and gives me a better understanding of the number of carbs in certain types of foods.
