Hi,
Last week i hurt my knee at work, i hit it off a table. The next day it was all swollen and was very sore. It didn't go away and my knee filled up with fluid. I saw my doctor who gave me antibiotics and said it looked infected. Thankfully it's now cleared up, but i am now getting pains in both my legs, sort of in the bone. Hard to explain. Does anyone else get this? Do you think it's related to my diabetes?

Thanks x

Hi Smit, sorry to hear about your mishap, hope the pain goes away soon! I don't know, but I doubt it is related to diabetes, probably more that you are more aware of little pains and twinges because of the recent accident and subsequent swelling/infection. If it persists though, you should go and get it checked out to make sure it's not still infected.

Thanks for your reply. Had crazy few days. Blood been all over the place. Doctor said the infection may have caused blood to rise. Fingers crossed it's on the mend. x

Hi Smit,

Higher blood sugars are an indication of an infection. In fact for me my lood sugars normally go up before i even know i have anything else going on. Kind of like a pre-warning!

Hope you feel better soon x
