For any type 1's who have injected up front / 15 mins before your meal and had your full dose, what do you do if you are then too full to finish your meal?

Are you carb counting? If you counted correctly and injected for it then you will probably go low later. Could you manage something sweet in a little while? Maybe some fruit, dried fruit is concentrated and wouldn't fill you up, or a sweet drink. I would be tempted to wait and see what happens before eating / drinking anything

I'd prob do as natalie says.

But then I very very very rarely leave anything on a plate.🙄

I'd have orange juice or similar to top the carbs up to the value I injected for.

Very rare for me not to finish what's on my plate, because I tend to estimate how much I want to eat at the same time as estimating carbohydrate content to calculate insulin dose, but if I get full while eating, then I concentrate on finishing the carbohydrate and leave other items. Or wait a bit and try again.

Chances are, if you have eaten most of the anticipated carbs that you could leave it 30 mins to an hour and have the rest of the carbs as a top-up then. At least, that would be OK for me (but then NovoRapid is usually fairly slow off the mark in my body)

Always clear the plate so never have this problem, if I did become full then it would have to be small glass of orange juice to compensate for the carbs on the plate.

I'd have a glass of milk. Or like Mike says, wait 30mins and see if I felt like eating something then.
