morning

i know you dont wanna hear this, but i have a big lump on the back of my head(very painful, cant sleep on it) and my freind that works in a pharmacy has said go to the docs but my question is....

since being diabetic, has anyone suffered things like this more often? its really hard, its like ive bumped my head almost

if anyone has any remedies to recommend instead of going to docs then i would much appreciate it!!

thanks!

This isnt what you want to hear - but - get to the docs! You cant ignore these things - it wont be anything serious but you may need antibiotics!🙂Bev

Don't ignore it. Most important to check something like this with medical professionals.
It may not be a boil but a cyst. In either case have it checked out.

In my experience, people with diabetes only get more infections if their blood sugars are outside normal ranges for a considerable period of time. I don't get any more infections now than before diabetes.

However, regardless of diabetes or not, if you can't see the lump, then I'd go to a doctor to check, particularly if it's affecting your sleep. If it was on a part of your body you could see, you could try cleaning with salty water, but that's not really an option here.

hellbell as a person who had to have a op on a lump in november you must go to the doctors i left mine a month and i was in agony i had to literally be carried in to a and e by my OH with the pain

Go to the doctor and get it checked. If itis an abcess or a boil it will only get worse and you could end up in hospital. If it hurts too much and you can't wait for a doctors appointment you can go straight to A&E, but you need to get it checked and quickly to prevent any more complications settling in.

yup this was me wish id listened at the time

Yes get it checked out as soon as possible ... do not leave it . I had all sorts

of lumps bumps and skin problems while my sugars were sky high. it is better

to get these things checked rather than leave them to get worse. usually

a short course of antibiotics will clear it up. 🙂

Hiya,

Please go and get this checked out at doctors or hospital...agree with all the other posts
