Quite a few years since we hired a motor cruiser and having lost 5 stone I thought I'd be nimbler now at hopping on and off and tying off etc. Sadly, my legs aren't any longer and though able to step off on some pontoons and locks, I had to slither down on my backside at some of them. In torrential rain. Having got badly bloodied and bruised from tripping over the ledge of the door on day 1 and using muscles I'd forgotten I had, by day 2 the only thing for it was to eat cake! Found a fabulous little cafe near Shepperton lock. Hooray for victoria sponge 😉

That sounds like a fabulous holiday.
may be you are not as nimble as you hoped but nothing to stop you enjoying your break.
Have fun.
