Hello all,
My husbands libre 2 sensor alarm frequently says its out of range, when it sitting next to him!
We've tried all the usual fixes, to no avail.
Has anyone had any success using any fixes that aren't so well known please?

I appreciate this is a long shot but worth checking: how many devices do you have connected to the phone via Bluetooth?
I found my Libre Bluetooth connection was more likely to drop when I had more than 3 or 4 devices connected.
Different phones have different maximum number of Bluetooth connections.

Hi Helle,
Thanks for your response, yep, checked that out too, he's only got it paired with the sensor .

That is frustrating :(

I think some phones/devices have a stronger or more robust signal than others, so things may improve of he upgrades his phone at any point. My phone makes a more robust connection to my CGM than my insulin pump, for example.

I find it helps to aim to keep ‘line of sight’ as clear and unobstructed as possible. So I aim to keep whatever is connected on the same side of my body as the sensor (so there is less of ‘me’ for the Bluetooth to have to get through).

Thanks.
He bought a new phone last week to establish if this would help. We paid £90 to get out of his old phone contract! It's a very good phone and is compatible.
Abbot are absolutely useless, such a wealthy company, states on their TV advertising, one swipe and job done, if only!!!. They seem to be moving so fast with new technology, which is fantastic, however, they not seem to fix the current issues.
For example, the phone is out of range when it's next to him.
I could go on and on, but its only Monday.

I don't use my phone with alarms, but do also use the dedicated reader and it too has problems without range sometimes.

I fear Bluetooth is just like that. I just don't have that alarm turned on. (Which means I may miss an alarm, but I'm OK with that. Other people may rely on the alarms more than me, of course.)

Also don't have that alarm switched on, turned it off after day 1 cause it was doing my head in.

Mentioned this before but I find having that out of range alarm on makes no difference, been in front garden doing lawn & phone has alarmed in house to warn bg is going low, only knew as wife shouted out window to tell me. Same when I've been in bathroom, heard phone alarm when it's been left in front bedroom, so find Bluetooth range is quite good on device.

I think the connection isn't continuous like my headphones (I presume). Rather, the sensor sends a reading every minute (over BLE), and I guess for this lost signal alarm the phone (or reader) sets the alarm off once it's missed some number of them. But that doesn't mean it won't get a reading that triggers the high/low alarm later.

My connection with my libre and phone is fine. But my bluetooth headphones are nearly useless, the libre 1 was better for this.

I would rather have my alarms and libre that the headphones so it is one of those little issues I have so it is okay
