I am currently having physio for a neck problem and numbness in my right hand/baby finger, and have a MRI scan tomorrow morning. Last week whilst away on holiday with my family my I noticed my right hand went completely blue and this lasted for several hours, despite having a bath etc. to try to make a difference. No pain, didn’t feel cold or anything, was just blue. Today I mentioned it to my physio, assuming it was neck related, but she feels it is a circulatory problem and has advised me to tell my consultant when I see her on Monday. Anyone had any experience of anything going blue? I am a bit more concerned now.

Hi newbs,

I am sorry to hear that you are having neck problems and about your hand. I have not really any advice to give, but I saw your message had not had any replies when I was catching up with the forum this morning and thought that I would at least reply and send you best wishes.
I hope that whatever the problem is with your hand, and it does sound possibly circulatory, that it can be sorted out soon.

Hi Newbs, I have had experience of numbness but it was in my leg rather than arm. I am glad that you are going to mention it to your consultant, as they can then follow it up and find out whether it is related to circulation in your hand or whether it is in your neck that the problem is starting. Worth following up.

Thank you for very much for your replies.

Raynauds hasn't been mentioned but it wasn't painful and has only happened the once so far. I will see what my Consultant says on Monday.

MRI scan over, not the most pleasant of things but at least it is done now!

Physios are usually very good at diagnosing musculo skeletal / central nervous system conditions, as they are the conditions they can treat. They are also usually very good at identifying that an issue is not something they can help with. So, I hope your consultant can help - or suggest someone who can.
