Hi everyone,

So I had my bloods done for my phone appointment with the diabetic consultant, and I got all the results back except for HBa1c, which for some reason was sent to Hull for analysis. I have no idea why they were sent there as I live in Northern Ireland. I've never been to Hull, I've only been in England for a connecting flight from Gatwick. My diabetes specialist nurse said if they were being sent to England it would have been Exeter.

Is there any hope of getting these results back? Its been 5 weeks now and no one can tell me anything. Is there someone I can contact to chase it up? I have spoke to my GP, DSN and the diabetic consultant and none of them seem to know why it was sent to Hull. I was thinking maybe it had something to do with Covid as I had it about a week before having bloods done.

I would prefer not to have the bloods done again so soon as it stresses me out but it seems like my only option.

Think it would be best to get hba1c done again & make sure sample is sent to local hospital, looks to me like some mistake has happened along way for it to be sent to Hull.
