Had my blood tested just over a week ago. My GP phoned me last Monday to say my thyroid is very overactive and to reduce the thyroxine and that was that. Then today a different GP phoned me on my mobile, had also phoned me at home and work as he urgently needed to speak with me - my GP had failed to tell me that my fbc is very low and my platelets are also very low. I now have to have my blood tested again on Wednesday and then to see what action they are going to take to discover what is going on. GP won't give me iron until he has discovered why I am anaemic in the first place. I am a bit concerned as to why all the different results are abnormal?

I can't offer any explanation newbs, but I hope that whatever is causing it can be quickly and easily treated, take care.
