What do you reckon the results will be.

Last test 6 months ago came in at 6.7 an increase from 6. No change to meds.

This time round I've been comfort eating a bit when nursing my dad through the last couple of weeks of his life (question of eating when you can at times). Also lost father-in-law suddenly at easter. You can imagine stress which plays a part.

I would be very surprised but delighted if I came in this time at say 7.5 or less. So expecting a change to my metfarting dose from 2 a day to possibly 4.

Regards
Lynne

I'm going to venture a 6.9% 🙂 Bearing in mind the unusually bad and stressfl time you have had, your meds may not be increased as the recent period doesn't reflect how things normally are for you.

Results are in & a bit of a surprise!

HBA1c 6.7% no change despite not being able to get to the gym & eating more comfort food during my dads final illnes over the previous month & problems prior to that.

She took my blood pressure I thought it would be slightly raised = 116/62!

Tot Cholesterol = 4.4 a bit up but no concerns

kidney function still normal I pushed for the actual fig as this is the complication my dad developed & then died with last month = 84% so really good although it isn't in the 90% bracket. I have the kidneys of a 25 year old!

The DN did refer me to the podiatrist as having pain from my bunion which has got worse over the last few months. Not looking fwd to having to wear shoes not open sandals when it gets colder.

All in all pretty pleased with myself on top of this at the gym yesterday as I met all my targets on the various machine & earned a "gold star".

hopefully getting back on an even keel.

Excellent news simples - pleased to hear that there was no change despite having gone through some very difficult circumstances !
Well done !

Congratulations! What a lovely surprise.

If podiatry come up with any bunion treatment that doesn't invole horrid surgery, please let me know. I now have a corn on the knuckle of my 'index' toe where my turned in big toe is shoving it upwards and clearlt it's rubbing on the tops of enclosed shoes. PITA.

Excellent news Lynne, really pleased that everything checks out so well 🙂
