Well I did it today, I went to go get my bloods done that will come back in a week to see what type I am, to me that was a massive step to take and I also made appointment for next Monday for a diabetic eye test as they didn’t have any appointments this week . Now the whole week waiting game and this is going to be utter stressful I’ll try and distract myself until then but usually if I get results back my nurse looks at it first and that’s when I know so I’m not sure if it will come back by Friday or at least by Monday . Honestly I’m terrified literally terrified about this :( . I know it’s for the good and we will get on track with care plan and how to manage it but it’s literally knowing what type I am that scares me . I found out my 70 year old mum also has it just recently . In a way I’m glad to know that I’m not alone in this family wise but I wish my mum never got it , she doesn’t desserve it , literally no one does :( . Sorry for the rant .

At least you will know where your at so you can work on that, try to stay calm 🙂 .

Not easy is it but try the wait will soon be over :(

Hope the results come through promptly for you. Be kind to yourself, and try not to worry about which type it ends up being - there aren’t good or bad types, just slightly different approaches to management strategies.

Hopefully once you get a bit of clarity and can see a positive way forward you will find it reassuring, rather than scary 🙂
