Blood test today

Good morning all,

Went to the surgery today for my annual blood test. Had an appointment, went in, no temperature check, picked up my meds from the pharmacy. 6 chairs all distanced. Diabetes Nurse came out, had the blood test, asked about booking a tetanus boster. She did
it then, she then offered to do my feet weight and bp. All done. We had a chat about my diabetes, looked am medical record and she toldme i am quiet unlike any diabetic she has seen and is of the opinion, i am not diabetic and the dr should have requested a 2nd test when the 1st result was lost and found. I told her i could live with that. Now just have to wait for result.
No mention of flu jab, but booked it at the chemist.
 
Fingers crossed for a good result @Sharron1 - looking at your Feb 19 and 20 results it should be ok!

I have my blood test tomorrow and from this the gp will decide whether to give me a diagnosis or not. I am hoping not as have been low carb since my first blood test 6 weeks ago and have lost 10lbs too!
i have asked for a flu jab but been told I don’t qualify for free one as not in risk category even though it’s been advertised that over 50’s qualify this year?!

Many places seem to be treating those that normally qualify for Flu vaccine first before going to the lower age group. I think this so ensure their is enough vaccines for the higher risk group. Flu vaccines are usually ordered at the beginning of the year.

Sounds good.

Re possible bad diagnosis: look on the bright side - you could have been wrongly diagnosed with tuberculosis or flesh eating bacteria!
