Had my Hba1c yesterday and saw the results gone from 59 to 73 so think i am in for a playing hell when the diabetic nurse telephones next week.

could of been worse but then could of been better must do 100 lines 😉

((((((HUG))))))
Do you know why it’s gone to 73 .

As Lin asked - that's the ONLY important thing when stuff like this happens - knowing what caused it and attempting to avoid that scenario again!

just had another look at the results and on day BG was just over normal so why there has been an increase is unknown.

the only thing i can put it down to is that i have been ill since Xmas and also have liver enlargement. will be seeing the liver people in a few weeks so hopefully they might pin point the problem. the liver does play an important part and may be the enlargement is banging the levels up.

Ah that probably explains it. illness of any kind will affect our BGs
During times of illness or injury our body often needs more fuel to fight illness or repair us, so it raises our BGs, the only trouble is, due to lack of insulin and or insulin resistance, the glucose can’t get into our cells where it’s needed. Plus as you say the problem with your liver may not be helping either.
I hope the appointment for your enlarged liver goes well and they can sort the problem out quickly.
