That was and still is the worst day of my life :L because i felt like c**p and i was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes :( bad times, but im getting used to it now and life is kinda better :D Happy days 🙂

Hi Pete and a warm welcome wow that is high, but things can only get better, and now you have found this place so happy days. What insulin regime are you on? and how long have you been diagnosed

Welcome to the forums Pete 🙂

Welcome Pete,

Yep a reading of 45 never bodes well. I was diagnosed at 18 but months later went into Diabetic KetoAcidosis(DKA) at 60.8

As that was on deaths door, I feel for you and how you must have felt.

Did you not have any other symptoms previous to your high reading at diagnosis?

Welcome to the forum, there is a wealth of experience and info, everyone is lovely and hold meets/day out in various locations. Please feel free to post any queries you have as I'm sure you'll have a lot to learn...I know I did 🙄

Hi Pete. Welcome. 🙂

It would be interesting to hear what insulins and regime you're on and whether you have good backup from your medical team, etc 🙂

Have you been diagnosed for long ?

Rob

Hi Pete
Good to hear things are improving and feeling better. And yikes on here reading about the 45 and Suzy's 60 😱 Have no idea what I was on when I was diagnosed, but sheesh if those are norms yikes!
