Just had blood test, Dr said sugar level slightly over?
What do l need to know?

Hi @Robbi welcome to the forum . Did the Gp give you the actual number.

Did the doctor say you needed to do anything or have any further tests? I suggest you find out the actual number so you can see exactly where you are. It might be nothing or it might be something to watch.

No, just said slightly over which has obviously worried me, going in for a check up for something else so will ask questions, what questions should l ask?

I’d ask what test they did - was it a random one-off blood sugar or was it an HbA1C test. The latter gives an average of your blood sugar over the last 3 months. I’d then ask the actual number you got. I’d then ask if you needed to take any action and if you need to have it checked again in a few months.

Thank you that's brilliant, going in on Monday. I've also got burping and can't sleep.

Hello and welcome to the forum @Robbi 🙂

Hi @Robbi, welcome to the forum!

Very naughty of the GP not to provide some more context but hopefully it means that things are at a stage that can be rectified.

The questions above are a great start, it'd be likely that a change in diet and increase in exercise will be on the cards. Let us know how things go and if you have any further questions.

Hi, thank you for your message, will let you know more Monday.
