I have been type 2 for over 15 years and recently (2 weeks) I have been practising intermitting fasting.
Sometimes I fast for up to 20 hours. My question is, When is the correct time to measure my fasting blood sugar? Would it be as soon as I wake up, just before I eat or it really doesn't matter?

Hi. Why do you want to measure your fasting sugar? It's generally of little use in managing the diabetes BS due to the overnight liver dump.

Hi @howardjroberts 🙂

In that situation, I’d test as soon as I woke up. If you want to get a fuller picture, testing before meals and 2hrs after is a helpful thing to do.
