Hi all, just to let you know that my Hba1c result is back from last week and it's 40 mmol/mol (from 50 on 07 November)

Big thanks to all those who set me down the low carb route, which has led to 10 kilo weight loss, and a change in attitude as to what I eat. Don't know if it works for everyone but clearly for me at least, cutting the carbs have had the desired effect.

Not counting chickens yet, but my lifestyle has changed and I'm not returning to the old one. Cataract surgery awaits later in the year (not connected to Pre-Diabetes) and hoping for a clearer future!

Many congratulations on an excellent result. So happy for you, especially when you have put the work in, so really good to see you rewarded with a great result. I am sure it will also give hope and encouragement to others who are newly diagnosed and reading this.
WELL DONE!

Thanks a lot @rebrascora , I don't even really bother thinking about calories etc. Just have fish, meat, vegetables, blueberries, greek yoghurts etc wth plenty of stir frys. I don't do bread, pasta or rice anymore, they no longer appeal to me.
