Since my DX of type 2 and cutting out sugar initially, there was an immediate drop in my BP levels, which continued to drop when losing weight.

They seem to have leveled out this month, with a few hicupps up and down, and I am quit pleased.

Is this a normal occurance with others on here?

Weight loss certainly helps with blood pressure, as does abstaining from alcohol. Getting your levels under control will stress your kidneys less, I think, and they are very important in regulating blood pressure. Mine mainly goes up when I see a white coat! 🙄

My blood pressure is normally low in fact normally too low, in that I frequently get dizzy when standing, or get a severe headache when standing too long. Have my own personal BP meter now, after local pharmacist advised me to get one due to combined dizzyness and confusion at work one day. Best ?20 I've spent in quite a while.

That sounds as if you have a very good result less pressure on all organs must be good

Have you ever thought to close your eyes? You wont see the white coat then :D

The white coat syndrome was a major problem for me. I had my own meter, but consistently got much lower readings than at the surgery.

The BP getting lower, and I think too low, as getting a bit dizzy at times, caused a problem with conflicting readings at home and at the surgery. On BP tablets which I dont need now, so hopefully can come off them.

I did read on line somewhere, that beta blockers, commonly used to be prescribed for high BP, have been linked to type 2 diabetes.
