"Cyanidin-3-glucoside and delphinidin-3-glucoside found in red oranges were recently shown to promote insulin secretion to improve glucose tolerance."

"tomato juice can protect against bad cholesterol for people with type 2 diabetes."

I haven't seen a blood orange for donkeys years!! - think most recent time was in Portugal over Xmas/NY 5-ish years ago.

But type twos usually have more than enough insulin so that doesn't really makes sense - when eating a low carb diet after a 'healthy cholesterol lowering' carb fest, I was staggering around with my glucose level dropping rapidly several times with my brain in a panic, so I had too much insulin sloshing around from a poor hysterical pancreas.
It took a few days for it to calm down, but after that it has seemed to work as it should.
Unfortunately orange juice is loaded with fructose, so anyone drinking it would need insulin to cope.
