Blood Monitoring in hospital

Next week I’m going into hospital for an operation to have a shunt inserted into my brain due to Hydrocephalus. I’ll be staying overnight.

I have Type 1 diabetes and the nurse has said that they will use my Freestyle Libre to monitor my blood glucose levels.

I’m not sure how this will work as I’d like to turn my mobile off to stop phone calls & texts.

I think it'll still work in airplane mode, so perhaps that would be sufficient?

Or 'do not disturb' mode. That will allow you to still have a phone signal but will block all calls, texts, e-mails etc. Or you can choose to only block non-favourite people.

Yes, do try 'Do not Disturb' mode. There are various sub-settings you can set.
