I know several people who use them and really like them.

To get the best out of them you'd need the support of a DSN to help you set up the 'bolus advice' system I think.

I used to use this before I went on the pump and got a different meter that communicates with the pump wirelessly....

I thought it was brilliant, and still is, I didnt really like giving it up......

Its just like any other bolus wizard on the market.....you give it information;

Insulin/Carb Ratios
Insulin Sensitivity for Corrections

And then it can give you your dose. Only to be used on top of your manual calculations of course....

🙂

Abbott's sent me one a few weeks ago and I'm pretty happy with it though I don't use all the functions, I'm on a fixed insulin dose so I don't need the calculator bit and I gave up on the reminders function because it's not loud enough (I'm a bit deaf) so I rely on my moby. It seems pretty accurate and I found it very easy to figure out, being an IT geek I never read manuals unless I'm desperate. 😉

It came with a USB cable and the software already loaded. I like it.

Thing is (apparently) you need a code to set up all the functions, can't do it without that!

Hence EDUAD's comment re consulting your HCP.

Yeah just setting up seem like cool gadget :D like the touch screen but question is should move from my accu chek Aviva ?

I'd run them both for a few days and see which you prefer.
