Hello everyone,
I have 2 blood monitors (of the finger prick variety) a accu-chek mobile, which I've had for... Many years! but is by far the more accurate, and a glucoRx HCT, which can test for ketones in the blood, which is nice, but the BG results are a little lacking.
Anyway, the accu-chek mobile has been discontinued, you can still get test strips for now, and as I said is my preferred monitor.

I looked around and found nothing helpful online,
I'm looking to get a newer monitor, does anyone have any they really like, or would recommend?
Accuracy is most important for me.

The GlucoRx one is the recommended one at my hospital as being T1 you need to be able to test blood ketones as well. If you’re changing meter it will need to be to a meter on your GPs preferred list so best to contact them to find out the options.

What are the reliability issues you mention with it?

I didn't intend to bad mouth, or belittle the glucoRx. I just prefer the accu-chek.
“The bg results are a little lacking” sounds like you’re having issues with the reliability though not just a preference? If you explain what the problems are we can help you resolve them.

Like you I am still using my accu Chek mobile test kit, and pleased thatI can still get the strips. I like having the pricker, cassette of strips and tester all in one.

At my last change of pump I was given a new one that tests for ketones as well as BG. It is SmartDuo. 4Sure. The preferred test kit for our clinic. Still to be used so can’t comment on accuracy level. Any test kit will have some variability in the results within the allowable range. The kits are all been good enough for me to determine my bolus doses.

I now use my sensor glucose readings in a closed loop system. This also makes adjustments for any wobbles.
