I was just wondering if you get blisters do you actually have to go to a GP to get them popped or can you just let them heal and if they do pop then clean them and cover them yourself? Just wondering as at work today I got a couple and doing the same thing again tomorrow and the following few Mondays and Tuesdays coming

You need to look after those tootsies!

I wouldn’t pop a blister. And I would try to avoid it popping tomorrow if possible.

When i was doing distance running, I had some success putting on those padded ‘blister plasters’ to cover likely spots before the race.

Thick socks might help but what I’ve found ( don’t know if this is only me) that thick socks make blisters more painful

I think there are various theories regarding socks.

Wearing 2 layers (one thin inside, and a more padded one outside) was suggested to me a while ago for long walks.
