Chris Parchman had always had 20/20 vision, so when he started going blind at the age of 36, it was a shock to say the least.
Years earlier, the Saskatchewan resident had been diagnosed with diabetes, and although people with diabetes are at high risk for a number of serious vision problems, doctors never told him the disease could affect his eyesight.
If they had, he might still have his vision today, he says.
