Hi all 🙂

i was just wondering if bleeding after an injection will mean i'm loosing any of my byetta??

thanks 🙂

Hi, are you able to detect your byetta in the blood that is seeping out ? Does it look more watery ? Not experienced with this medication or what the substance is like, is it reflected in your BGs that you are not getting enough?

Short answer is Simon, you won't have a clue.

Usually it's just a capilary that you slice straight through with the needle, inject your whatever beyond the punctured vein, then when you pull the needle out the blood follows the escape route, so hopefully none of the medication is mixed with it.

But that should be a rare occurrence - if it happens frequently then summat's up - as Medusa said, maybe too long needle - or even not long enough !
