Had a letter this morning from the docs saying book a 12 month review. I had one in Feb so was thinking "oh it's a mistake" but at the bottom it said "If you've already had a review in the last 12 months it means we have identified a result which needs further review" The only result outstanding was the urine test as she'd forgotten about it till I reminded her! I rang the docs and the receptionist is going to get the doc to ring me and explain...........🙄

Hope it's something and nothing - these things really ought to be thought through better, they can be so worrying 😡 What was the urine test for (if you don't mind me asking!)?

Hope it is just to confirm everything is OK with you and is really nothing to worry about

Maybe that's it - I'm having another Mr Sparkles!!

There can be only one! 😱 Perhaps it showed a little protein, I think this can happen sometimes and may be related to kidneys, but often it goes away. How is your blood pressure? Doesn't sound urgent if you had the test two months ago - perhaps they just want to retest?

Thank you. The thing is the nurse said that if they found anything dodgy in the sample they would send out forms and whatever and request two more samples a month or so apart before doing anything. I haven't had anything like that so I reckon it must be an error. It is worrying and is also messing up my plans for today as I'm waiting in for doc to ring. She did say he would ring this morning and I don't want to miss his call as I want to know before the weekend. 😡

Lol Mr Sparkles doesn't want a brother!! He had one and hated him!

BP is fine - always low. Bloomin docs!

Grrr! That is annoying, hope they ring soon!

You will be the first to know when they do. He's probably looking at it and thinking "what the heck?!" The receptionist asked who had sent the letter - er no one, it wasn't signed! It's rubbish, got to be, but annoying.

it's a bit worrying but as it wasn't signed may be the letter was sent out in error? Bit annoying and worrying if it was

I hope you get an answer soon - and that it turns out to be an error.

So do I newbs, thank you. A morning spent waiting! Just hope he actually does ring! Probably be at lunchtime when he has finished morning surgery.

As we thought - it's all a load of rubbish 😱 - a wasted morning with plans cancelled! Another time I won't bother straight away. It was because 2 of the results were out of target - the cholesterol and the Hba1c but that was all discussed at the review - so why a letter saying make a 30 min appt to discuss stuff that was already discussed? Doc says ignore letter - thanks for standing with me whilst I waited though, I was a bit concerned. 🙄

What a waste of time and worry for you. I'm glad it is sorted and dealt with

Grr! Sorry you had a wasted morning Karen, plus all that unnecessary worry :( But very glad to hear that all is OK 🙂 I've had something similar recently - the surgery keeps calling me back for extra liver function tests even though they know my levels are always slightly above normal because of Gilbert's Syndrome (which is harmless!). I don't bother now!

I won't bother again either Alan, I would wait till it was convenient for me at least. I was meant to be doing something slightly crazy today - my friend had organised a rescue donkey to come to the local luncheon club where his mom goes - in honour of her 80th birthday. I was going to gatecrash and see the donkey!! I wasn't that bothered but it is annoying to have this time wasting stuff to deal with plus the worry. And if I had just phoned and made the appt as requested that would have wasted an appt that could be put to good use. At least the receptionist had the sense to realise something odd was going on and I doubt the doc even knew it had been sent considering it wasn't signed. Ah well - all's well in the end.

Aw, it would have been good to see the donkey! I'll see if I can arrange one for your 80th 😉 :D
