Bio-printing a cure for diabetes

Amazing, 3d bio-printing technology.

My only question would be, say they do make this available in the future, a 3d printed pancreas derived from own cells, will this overcome the problem with the immune system attacking the islet cells?

Fascinating. But producing insulin is physically a very small part of the job of the Pancreas, as we Creonistas can aver. If they can create a perfect functioning pancreas, that would be astonishing, but it’s not just diabetic folk will be cheering.
